Beehive

Beehive

Equipment

·         Backcombing brush

·         Hair brush

·         Tail comb

·         Bobbie pins

Method

1.       Brush the hair thoroughly using a hair brush.

2.       Section out a top piece of hair for the beehive, and two side pieces.

3.       First of all I created the French pleat.  I did this using the middle section of the hair, brushing it all over to the left.  I then used bobby pins to criss cross up the middle of the head.

4.       I rolled the section of hair the opposite way and pinned into place.  The criss cross grips will help anchor this into place.

5.       Then, I took the top section of hair and neatly back combed it so it had lots of volume.  I then arranged the hair into a quiff shape and used my brush to smooth down the back comb into place.  I then pinned this into the pleat.

6.       Lastly is the side pieces, I slightly backcombed these to give them some more body, then used them to cover the gap between the beehive and the pleat.
I quite enjoyed creating this hairstyle, I feel I am good at creating French pleats and it was nice to add this beehive style into it.
