I tested 3 ideas for my wig and they were;

Using a gold hair spray

How big/small to do the plaits

What was best to use on models hair to make it similar colour to wig

Gold spray

I wanted to use gold spray in my hair design and tested it out.  I am pleased with the way it came out when I practised so I decided to use it in my final design.

 

Plaits

I experimented with different size plaits for my final design, as I wanted them to look prominent but not be too large.  I decided to go for the medium size (left)

Colouring

I practised with aquacolour (left), snazaroo (right) and greasepaint (middle).  I found the greasepaint was a bit too greasy to use on the hair and was going to leave a shine when I took a picture.  I decided to go with snazaroo because the colour was just slightly stronger in my opinion that the aquacolour.
